Do You Kiss Your Mother With That Mouth? @%#!

So last night we were having Family Home Evening, and the subject that we had decided to talk about was Keeping our language and our minds pure. Now in our house every now and then we let some bad words slip. For instance when The Man forgets and accidentally says the "S" word. (shhh...... stupid!) Or the "D" word (dumb!) The consequence for which is pepper in the mouth which is Oooohhh so entertaining for all of us when Daddy gets it! He takes it like a man! ;) We were teaching them about how if movies we see, or books we read are inappropriate that we should turn them off or put them down and not read or watch them. Brenna gave us an example of how she was reading a book at school (with her wonderful animation as she always has) that said "Tish Tosh my G-O-S-H-!!!" and her face got really appalled and she said most seriously "and I closed that book and I didn't read anymore!" Wow! Brenna! That's very...... commendable! I do have to say that I was impressed! She is such a wonderfully good girl! She always tries to make sure that she does what she knows is right! Well it was at that point that I decided to tell them that there's something they should know. And then Mommy said EVERY BAD WORD in the book! It kind of went like this:
"Ok girls, there's something I need to tell you. There are words that are not nice like stupid, dumb, shut-up (children gasping with every word I say! Did you hear what Mommy just said?!?!) and so on that we don't say because when people say them they are usually not being nice. And there are other words that you probably don't even know called swear words
Amber- "like F-U-...." AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I all of the sudden became the bully's mom over the phone on A Christmas Story!!! WHERE DID YOU HEAR THAT!?!?!?!!?!?!!!!! HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT WORD!?!?!?!?!?!!! WHO SAYS THAT?!?!?!!?! She then looked at her dad...... hahaha! Just Kidding!!! ok conversation continues. I clap my hand over my mouth!
Brett- "Amber don't spell that word!"
Me- "Where did you hear that word?!?!!"
Amber- "Boys at school."




Boys at school??? BOYS AT SCHOOL!?!?!! BOYS AT SCHOOL SAY THAT?!?!?!?! I didn't hear that word until at least junior high or high school!!!!!!! Filthy mouthed little boys!!! I can't believe they say that!!!! I can't believe that my little girl goes to school and hears that everyday!!!! It makes me so sad! She is such a good girl! She tries to be so good! Never so much as says stupid, but listens to the "F" word (and we're not talking about Fun or Functional!)
